Pawtuxet Village Homes for Sale
Colonial-era seaport village shared with Cranston
Pawtuxet Village straddles the Warwick-Cranston line where the Pawtuxet River spills into the Providence River. It is one of the oldest settlements in New England, dating to 1638, and it still feels like a small harbor village, with local shops and restaurants a few minutes from downtown Providence.
Homes in Pawtuxet Village
The village is a National Register historic district, so you will see Colonial and Federal-era homes next to Victorians and early-20th-century houses. The Warwick side runs south of the river along Post Road and Bayside Avenue. Historic homes need a careful inspection and a buyer who understands what they are getting into, and we help with both.
Living in Pawtuxet Village
Before the Revolution Pawtuxet was a busy port on the Old Post Road with shipyards and a ropewalk. Today residents walk to the village for coffee, dinner and the waterfront, and every June the village hosts the Gaspee Days celebration.
