Warwick, RI neighborhood guide
Governor Francis Farms Homes for Sale
Planned 1930s neighborhood with mature trees and winding streets
Governor Francis Farms, known locally as "The Farms," is one of Warwick's most consistently in-demand neighborhoods. It was established in 1938 on land once owned by John Brown Francis, Rhode Island's governor from 1833 to 1838, and grew to about 800 houses.

The streets were laid out by landscape architects who trained under Frederick Law Olmsted Jr., and care was taken to keep the existing trees. The result is curving, shaded streets with storybook capes, ranches and larger Colonials. Homes here tend to sell quickly when priced right, and updated homes command a real premium, which we document with neighborhood-only comparables.
Living in Governor Francis Farms
Namquid Drive runs through the heart of The Farms to Gaspee Point. The original plan set aside land for a neighborhood school and a shopping plaza, and you are close to Pawtuxet Village, Route 117 and Providence.
