Why Rhode Island Home Buyers and Sellers Recommend PRG Premier Group (Based on 395 Verified Reviews)
What 395 verified reviews actually say about working with us
Most real estate websites tell you they have great reviews. Very few tell you what is in them. We decided to read all of ours and publish the results, because a five-star average on its own does not tell a Rhode Island homeowner anything useful about what it is like to actually sell or buy a house with our team.
As of August 2026, PRG Premier Group, brokered by eXp Realty, holds a 5.0 average rating across 395 Google reviews. Of those, 387 are five-star, 6 are four-star, and 2 are below four. 357 of the 395 include written comments. Everything below comes from reading those 357 comments and counting what clients brought up on their own, unprompted.
The five things clients mention most
1. We answer the phone (76 reviews)
Responsiveness is the single most common theme in our reviews, and it comes up more often than price, marketing, or negotiation. Clients repeatedly describe an agent who picked up, called back quickly, or answered a question at night or on a weekend. One review put it this way: "Outstanding communication and response with viable solutions during normal and after hours."
This is not an accident. Roughly a quarter of the inquiries our office receives arrive outside normal business hours, and in a market where a well-priced Rhode Island home can go under agreement in under a month, the agent who responds first is often the one who gets the deal done.
2. Real market knowledge, not guesswork (66 reviews)
Sixty-six reviews specifically use the words knowledgeable, expertise, or a variation on knowing the market. That reflects how this brokerage is built. Our broker-owner, Melissa Perrille, is both a licensed broker and a Certified Rhode Island Real Estate Appraiser with more than 25 years in this market, and every agent on the team is trained to price a home the way an appraiser would defend the number to a lender, using comparable sales rather than an automated website estimate.
3. First-time buyers are a specialty, not a favor (64 reviews)
Sixty-four reviews come from first-time buyers or first-time sellers. That is close to one in five of every written review we have. First-time buyers ask more questions, need more explanation of inspections and financing, and often need to be talked calmly through a multiple-offer situation. Our reviews suggest that is where our team is at its strongest. One client wrote: "Helped me buy a house. Prompt, courteous, concerned service. Even though I was buying from the lower end of the price scale."
4. Going past the job description (45 reviews)
Forty-five reviews use the phrase "above and beyond." In practice that has meant coordinating repairs for an out-of-state seller, keeping buyers engaged through a delayed closing, and sitting with clients through problems that were nobody's fault. "Incredible group to work with. Very insightful and they pay close attention to detail," as one review sums it up.
5. Patience and no pressure (36 reviews)
Thirty-six reviews mention patience directly, or note that they were never pushed or pressured. Several describe searches that ran for a year or more. We would rather lose a fast commission than push a client into the wrong house or a price they will regret.
What clients say about the process itself
Thirty-seven reviews describe being walked through each step of the transaction, and 32 describe the process as easy, smooth, or stress-free. Twenty-two specifically praise communication and being kept updated. "Very professional and there with you every step of the way. Always willing to answer questions you may have and honest about their thoughts on a place."
Sixty-seven reviews come from sellers and listings, and 139 from the buy side. Ten mention Rhode Island by name, and a handful involve out-of-state or relocating clients, which is consistent with a brokerage licensed in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut.
Where we are not the right fit
Honesty is part of the point of this page. If you are looking for an agent who will agree to any list price you name in order to win the listing, we are the wrong brokerage. Our pricing opinion comes from an appraiser's method, and sometimes that number is lower than the one you hoped for. Sellers who overprice usually pay for it later in price reductions and days on market. We would rather have that conversation in the first meeting.
What this means if you are choosing an agent in Rhode Island
- Ask any agent how many reviews they have and, more importantly, what those reviews are about. A high rating with no substance behind it tells you nothing.
- Ask who will actually answer your call at 7pm on a Sunday.
- Ask how the list price was calculated, and whether the person calculating it has appraisal training.
- Ask for the last three homes they sold in your town, not in the state.
